Night Force Scope

Getting into bench rest type shooting and looking for a good scope, would like one for bench and prs style if possible. I Like the looks of Night Force Competition 15-55x52 FCR-1 reticle or should use just the fine crosshair reticle? Advice appreciated.

The NF Comp is highly regarded on the line for it's clarity and light weight.
Besides March, where I can get by on a heavy gun, I run the NF Comp DDR-2
floating dot. I prefer a dot while others a fine cross hair. For PRS, the DDR-2
reticle would be a better choice for holds.

you have not clearly defined your use...what benchrest, short range (100/200/300) or long range (600/1000). what weight gun ??
while 15 to55x is just about the std in br, the march 10-60x current model is better, and it IOR 10-60x is great

well yes the nf 15-55x with your choice of reticle.
the march 10-60x high master has lense coatings which improve
vision in what would normally be mirage....this might help even at these short ranges

If you’re hoping to use one scope for both, you might consider something more versatile like the Nightforce ATACR 7-35x56 still premium glass, but better suited to dynamic shooting. As for reticles, the FCR-1 gives you holds and reference points which can really help in PRS, while a fine crosshair is great for precision but lacks those quick reference marks.
