Bullet Ogives for SRBR

How about a discussion of the different Ogives used on bullets for Short Range Benchrest? Most at one time were between a 7 to a 10 Ogive. What were the theoretical advantages/disadvantages of each? and how did it play out in the real world? What led to the development of the Double Ogive bullets? How would a 9 Ogive 68gr bullet fare against the current 7/10.5 Ogive bullets?

The smaller the ogive's number, the shorter the bullet can be made. the shorter the
bullet, twist rates can be further optimized. Have a 6 ogive RBT on the drawing board
to see if I can catch a real slow 20 twister. Why not a 5 ogive ?? All kinds of crazy's on
my bucket lists......LOL Get them short bullets with a small driving surface, and slower
twist rates, we could start having a conversation on much faster powders. Could 4227
be the next thing ?? I have some....LOL
