ARC -100 yd Match for Score
36 Shooters - 25 VFS, 3 Hunter, 8 Factory
A record crowd today....36 shooters. That's closing in on our limit as we only have 40 benches. Fairly nice Spring to Summer conditions today. Overcast, a minor breeze and high humidity while approaching 90 degrees.
We had 16 of the 25 VFS shoot clean. Top score was 250-22X and it was a 3 way tie with Matt Johnson taking the tiebreaker for 1st place. Speedy Gonzales gets 2nd and Marlon Goates gets 3rd. Really good shooting guys.
The 3 Hunter rifles went back and forth with John Gallaher finally getting out in front with a 247-9X for 1st. Tommy Maedgen started great but the pressure melted him and settled for 2nd with 245-5X. Curt Gallaher finished 3rd posting a 243-6X.
Lots of factory rifles today, some newbees. Ernest Mims gets 1st with his 6.5 Cmoor shooting 243-6X. 2nd place goes to Chad Schimpf shooting a 238-9X using his 6GT (I don't know what a GT is either, but I'll ask). And 3rd place is Jon Aronson , aka "Mr. Crossfire", posting an unentertaining 238-5X.
Lots of people on the firing line today. It was busy. More and more shooters are arriving every month. I'll call it a non-problem as everyone seems to enjoy it.
Thanks to everyone helping with targets, there were a bunch today. Makes me happy to hear someone..."Hey, you need some help with those ?"
