Primer help

I got some PMC primers (small rifle magnum) made in Russia marked up as NTSRM lot no. 7-04. Are these the same primers that some claim shoot so good? Have noticed the primer pockets are very clean after firing.
Thanks

The Russian primers that so many people are talking about are by Wolf.

It's possible but it would surprise me. I've bought a bunch of Wolf stuff and have seen the shipping cartons. I went looking for one but I've tossed them. Not like I studied them but I'm pretty sure there is info on the Russian Manufacturer and also the US distributor but not a word about Korea.

The following is copied from Wickipedia:

Wolf Ammunition is a Russian clearinghouse company that sells ammunition produced in former state-owned (USSR) factories. Some of the ammunition is made in the Tula arms factory while some is foreign made with Wolf markings (for example their .22 target ammunition is made in Germany). The company is known for providing good quality ammunition at relatively low prices. Wolf produces ammunition in the most popular rifle and pistol calibers. Almost all of it comes in polymer-coated (previously lacquered), steel cartridge cases.[citation needed]

They are the same primers. The importer was Bob Jensen, PMC bought the entire supply for a while, they were based in the Las Vegas area. Subsequently, when PMC's financials deteriorated and the Russian plant raised their price, Bob quit importing them. Eventually, Wolf (based in Los Angeles) took over the importation. Same primers.

When I bought these small rifle primers they had both large and small rifle and large and small pistol. Two different vendors (local).

Bob...

Eric Stanton used them at the NBRSA Nationals with great success. As a matter of fact he set a world record.....which was broken by Tony B. at the shoot. Eric said that he had been using them exclusively for a couple years. They are good primers.

I'm blocked by a firewall here at work, but here's a short version of the PMC / Korea connection...

After 40 years of supplying high quality, dependable ammunition to the U.S. civilian market, PMC has joined forces with Poongsan Corporation of Korea to expand its markets ...
