could the 3 mean 3 lever? what's the difference? could this be an earlier
one without the mark you're asking about. here's some pics of it. sorry they're
no better.

Trigger

Tom,

Yes, thats an early one. The 3 may mean 3 lever in the early designation.

i think it does mean 40 for 40x and 3 for 3 lever probably.
i tried adjusting it. ended up at 5.9 oz i'll see if it'll do okay there.
i learned in adjusting make sure it's turned so the screw is down,
otherwise you'll never get it set. i ran into the same thing on my
suhl. it had to be adjusted in the upright position as though you're
shooting it. thanks for all the help. can't believe i've had this thing
all this time and didn't know what trigger it had. i always thought it
felt pretty crisp. it looks like it had a light coat of bedding in the action
area. almost like a heavy coat of light brown varnish. again thanks.
i think i'll stick with this trigger for awhile.

just want a little lighter trigger. thanks for any

I have a very low 4 digit serial number 40X .22 rf with bolt release in front of trigger....tab to press up on. Has manual safety also.
