ok i have a thread on the factory rifle forum on a savage md 12 i replaced the factory bbl with a 30" 1/10.
all went well with the first 50 rounds long loaded 175 berger target, h4895 palma brass just weight sorted.
vel 2810 or so, es/sd of 4 and 8. life is good just over .3" 5 shots at 100.
annealed, sized and reloaded 15 to shoot 100/200/300 zeros. sd and es goes to schitt. from 280x to over 2830, put a hole in a primer! load is dropped lite from a charge master lite to an fx120i and brought up to weight..easy number 43.0.....
opinions on what changed from new to once fired ?? sized case vol is 55.4 about 1 bigger than new vol.
going to do a case analyze and use that for the next batch ......only 5 or so to shoot against 5 new at 600 yds.
what be happenin"

well i shot at 600 and no real difference between new and reloaded, both were faster than the original load. aver was now 2826...and some cases have minor ejector swipes...so i loaded 10 and 5 again for 1000...but i dropped the charge to 42.8. the 600 dope was within an 1/8( one click) at 600///so good to go for sat if the rain stays away

so in spite of early rain we did shoot at1000 today...closer to 10 am start.
so dropping the load 0.2 took me from 2826 to 2800 even with no spikes. must be a hidden pressure spike right there. very strange. so the come up was 31. with a 8 /21 , and the new brass with the exact same load did 2794 with 2 /4.9. i do not understand at all. i have a 1k zero and a 600 zero, if i can catch a palma practice maybe get an 800 and 900 zero.
