well you left out one real important bit of info..what are you shooting? score with ibs or nbrsa ? club matches ? the bottom line, in heads up( real benchrest score, not handicap shooting) ya do best with a 30 br, get one of those rechambered and move forward. buy some custom, not production...

well we do need an entry level class...not for current members, say a max of x years in the class then no more, say 3 years. production factory rifle under xxx dollars. not rechamber no rebbl.. 30-30 case volume min min 25 cal no restock. an entry class no national champ LOW DOLLAR STARTER...

well to be clear, that aint what you asked, what you said was " What would you recommend for accuracy purposes." bedding rifles has little to do with competition shooting and winning. he maybe good, but i did not see his name in the hall of fame points. mine is.

so just back from the ik range at ben avery. bottom line good elevation but more movement left and right even in a mild breeze. i am happy mainly 10's with a couple of 9's.
