I just bought this and was wondering if it is good stuff? I have been reading that the HSS is better for the small lathes so I bought some of these. I got almost 20 pcs for under $40. The small ones are 1/2" and a couple are 5/8". Figured they had to be better than the cheap import stuff.

This is my first project I have built with my lathe. Nothing fancy,but I needed it. Next might be the cone gauge. Gotta get some stock to build it first. Joe
