    Quality cartridge brass?

No it's not, but would you would just disregard it?

I see you used a faceplate whereas I tried to use a back plate adapter. Mine came from CDCO and we all know the quality of that stuff. Anyway, I may still be able to get it to work with some judicious carving on the adapter. OK, after cranking my neck sideways I can see the original holes you...

    Quality cartridge brass?

Did you read the one star review?

I've got two of those and they're still sitting in a drawer. The four holes they drilled in them conflict with the holes in the backplate adapter I have. The adapter is a 5" D1-4 and the pre-drilled holes on the Grizzly spider are poorly spaced, at least for my backplate. Good luck on yours...

I think you nailed it there Jackie. Got me thinking about all the other shooting I did before attempting bench rest. In all those disciplines the object was to hit the dead center X on your target. The X ring has a defined diameter based on the distance of the target and the other scoring rings...

You say that the new blood doesn't want the work that comes with bench rest. Are you referring to the work of putting on matches or the work involved in developing skills at shooting bench rest? I'd like to address the latter. When I shot in other disciplines, bullseye pistol or Palma, there is...

    New Front rest for BR

It does appear that they sent you a rest for a left handed shooter. Isn't that what you wanted? Are you a left handed shooter?

Well, the match fees for Raton went from $100 to $125 at the last match. And Ed Adams is having to recycle awards to keep the costs down. Participation is definitely down for those matches. I'll continue to support those matches as best I can as long as I can tell myself I'm having fun.

Well, I may have misspoke. This particular match was one I had not attended before. All the other matches I had attended gave out wood plaques as awards. At this particular match they gave out the plaques and required an additional $100 for cash prizes. I was unaware of this feature as none of...

Well, the one I attended there I was told I had to pay the cash option. As I had already traveled 600 miles to get there, I paid, but didn't attend any of those later. Now this first one was probably more than five or six years ago. They may have changed that but as I've never attended that...

Well, I know of at least one guy who brings his powder to a match in a cooler. During the summer of course.

No, I don't think matches are overpriced when you are talking about the fees for running the match. But forcing me to throw an additional $100 into a pot I have no chance of winning isn't for me. If people want to do side bets that's fine as long as you're not forced to do it as a condition for...

Based on what you said there is a very limited number of participants who can be competitive then. When the difference between first and third place can be a few thousandths of an inch, that's pretty tight. I've shot bullseye pistol, skeet and trap, Palma, Service Rifle and Fullbore. All of...

Shortly after I started benchrest I was out front getting toys. I have really tapered off but am still in the race. Just got something new today.

Glenn, I have his autotrickler but haven't hooked it up yet. Was looking at this device on his web site some months ago and was very intrigued. Glad to see it works well. Well, it's less that I was going to pay for another Dan Wesson pistol so I may just get one of these instead.

    262 or 268 necks for 6mm PPC

I had my reamer made with a .268 neck. However I've never won any matches so my opinion isn't worth much. Does make it a lot easier to turn your brass.

6mm PPC small base case vs normal base, measurements plz....

Well, one actual problem is you can't use a Jones decapper if you have the doughnut. That's also a way to find out if you have doughnuts in your brass.

ASC October Match date change..... Oct 20th at 12:30pm

The weather forecast shows rain all week up to Friday and Saturday AM showers. I'm leaving for Colorado on Thursday and the forecast for Trinidad is pretty good for the following week. Should be able to get some work done on my cabin.
