My tuner is bored…
Keith, I know the tuner that came on this rifle is bored as well and now I’m understanding why the slight turning on the barrel under it. I also know it’s a precision fit on the barrel and I have to carefully wipe the barrel and tuner to slide it on …it’s a bearing fit...
Additional Notes
When I had the rifle built I actually had the rimfire accuracy gunsmith fit two match barrels and both have a slight area turned off under the tuner. I have only fired the Shilen and like I said shows very good potential. But ….I’ve been in the precision shooting game...
Question for the rimfire team. I have a top quality build by one of the top quality gunsmiths using a new 2500X and Shilen barrel. I asked the accuracy rimfire gunsmith to build it just like he would for himself. I always do that when building a new match rifle as I feel they are a lot smarter...

.....fat bullets shoot!
When I started benchrest shooting in the 80’s I used Larry Earp 6mm flat based bullets. They actually measured .2444 on the pressure ring!! You had to neck turn your cases correctly to use them but did they shoot! And you could actually tip the bullet box upside down and...
Should rimfire benchrest shooters take a look at "Micro-Groove" match barrels........
Last year I decided to build a 10/22 benchrest rifle so I contacted a well known precision 10/22 action maker and didn’t hear back from him so I contacted another one. Both of these companies advertised with...
