These pictures were made by sectioning a new unfired case, just above the case extraction groove. The photographs were taken from the inside of the case web, looking through the flash hole, toward where the primer would have been, if there had been one. I made these pictures on a Nikon Labophot-2 microscope / camera setup at work, made a collage of four pictures, and scanned them. The magnification of the original pictures was 100 X. KenT |
